All I can say is Wow. I've already written down my thoughts on the whole thing (
MySpace Traffic Train Derailing), but I think it's mainly MySpace targeting the spammers.
They make it extremely clear in their terms of use that peddling commercial products on MySpace is frowned upon and that advertisers could be fined $50
per instance of spam (i.e. each individual e-mail, bulletin, or IM sent). Now, they're making good on it.
I hope this means that marketers will clean up their act and stop ruining it for the rest of us.
