I think the point you guys and gals make is that you have to keep it up. And also, like everything else, skill matters.
I think the first time I submitted an article (Get it - 1 article) I wasn't excited about the results. Since then I have read up on good places to submit, tips to make your title and copy more attractive, and my results have been better. Sometimes results have been fantastic, and sometimes they have not been all that exciting.
I have submitted some articles, and then gotten google searches on them THE NEXT DAY, and I have submitted some articles and barely noticed a blip.
If I was going to tell a new person to start article marketing, I would tell them to learn a little about writing copy, researching hot topics, places to submit, the point of writing articles...etc. And also, 10 articles are better than one article.
Just like everything else, success takes some work and skill. It all takes time.
