Sorry not sure I understand. "What will I need to amke up?"
An affiliate made a sale from his own site and it did not track?

He could have had cookies blocked or could have placed the tracking code wrong on his site. Check those things with him. Then maybe clear your cookies and do a test purchase from his link to be sure it tracks. THe 1st goal should be to assure there is no tracking problem and if there is correct it so future sales can be credited properly. If you feel there was an error on your part or your tracking was not working and you believe or can confirm the sale really did get made due to his effort, the right thing to do would be to manually credit him for the commission amount.
