Default Many Adsense Accounts to be Canned by Google June 1

......... Death to Arbi
angel of deathGoogle is putting an end to Adsense arbitrage & MFA accounts. Tons of Adsense publishers are getting the email letting them know their accounts will be closed June 1st because the way they are using their AdSense account is an "unsuitable business model". This is really good news on a couple levels.

1) I think this move will make it easier for affiliates to play the Adwords game in many markets that were clogged up with arbi/MFA players. Plus it will make things better for advertisers.

2) Google is doing it right by paying publishers & giving them a couple weeks to prepare. So they are as fair as you can be to the arbi & MFA guys. They could have just banned accounts & not paid.

Jennifer Slegg has in-depth info about the situation and raises some great questions. Could this result in more income for legit Adsense publishers if more advertisers gradually re-gain faith in the content network? Will the Yahoo Publisher Network get a sudden rush of Arbi/MFA players? If so how will they handle things? More at Jensense: Google AdSense disabling arbitrage publisher accounts as of June 1st

Heated and interesting commentary over at WickedFire, where I picked up the story.
