I wouldn't give up on that e-mail - but question...did you do it via a newsletter or just sending out an ad or auto-repsonder? A newsletter can be very effective if done properly (not too many ads, good info/content pertaining to your subject matter and not spamming your subscribers with ads in between ezine issues --oh and double opt in), but it takes patience and time to build a good list. It's an on-going process.
I remember sending out my first ezine to 7 people and I was excited I even got that many!

Now I have thousands but I've read that 10,000 is the magic mark. Let's just say I'm only just about half-way there after several years, so patience, patience, patience! And no under-handed tactics to get people on your list.

I could have that 10,000 number by now if I pulled some of the stunts some ezine writers do, but I prefer to have a lower number and my dignity!
