I always thought that affilliate marketing comes down to content, content, and content. One of John Chow's tips from his free ebook is to push a product as a content or draw attention to it as a 'hot deal'.

It seems to work for me as I partnered with a group of writers passionate about their subjects, movies in one site and sports in the other.

I'm the guy that monetizes the site based on what I read here and other make money sites. We're not making big money yet, but we're counting on our status as affilliates to get us going. I just hope that affilliate practice is not discontinued.

But I suppose, there's always Amazon. I doubt they have anything against their affilliates.
