If you send out 40k emails, what is you average open rate? What is your average conversion rate?
Your open rate will be less than .05% , unless you are better than Marlin Sanders and Joe Vital.
Them the conversion rate from there is also around .o5%.
So that means 200 opens. and maybe 1 sale.
With search engines with SEO, If i am in the top 5 positions, I get a 30% "open" or click rate. and the average conversion for niche is around 3 %.
You do the math.

SEO is not voodoo, it is a system, basic principals, and it works every time.
40 k uniques a month is not unrealistic with SEO, and it really is not that complicated. Anyone who wants to learn can. and anyone can do it. and the best part! It is FREE, that is even better than "cheap" as you put it.
Buy the way, i just checked alexa for your sites and they have no data. just one of my customers that is only 3 months into the program already has a 797,523 rating. and no paid ads... None.
My seo site has an alexa of 270,447 and this is in 4 months against other SEO's
And i know, most do not believe alexa, but i can show stats that also prove this.
Build clean links, and do proper onpage and you will reap the tidal wave of traffic that is targeted with great conversion rated
Again, if you want true success on the net. SEO is a must learn skill.

With no experience, I somehow got my sites listed on google search and all I did was submit free. I'm no pro but from what I see the, where best SEOs in google/yahoo ranking I don't see yours. But good for you and Alexa.
What I want to know is why would you want to charge someone when you yourself can't even get listed at the top of the greats google and yahoo as far as the 'top' SEOS are concerned. It's no different than paying for 'fresh' leads. Why would those people sell them when they themselves could use them. Afterall, money is the name of the game right?
