I agree, you need to learn from people who have been successfull. But there are some common sense rules for this also.

You have to ask the question "Who Gains" from the help you get? If they are helping from selling you a package or information, they are not helping. They are making money.

If you get the "SECRET" from a pitch page, you are gathering information from a source that is making money on your ignorance and 99.999% of the time( I know as i have invested over 25 K in my online "education" fund to the Guru's), it is a lie, or a partial truth. and a partial truth is like a partial car, it will not work. If you have to "opt in" to get the information, they are putting you on a list to SELL you.


When i was first starting, after starving a while a "Guru" actualy told me the truth, He said: "Do not buy what i sell, But do what i do to make you buy".

And that has made all of the difference. This covers a lot more than most will think from the start.

You have to study and see what they are doing, It does not end at a pitch page.

It has to be specific to your product or service. For example, You do not need a pitch page to push payday loans. They need the money bad or they would not be there. So it is as simple as them being able to find you first.

Now, The new Pet Playhouse for a cat needs a different format, because it is a "Want" not a need. so the copy has to be different and they need to find you.

I have never seen an opt in list just to sell a cat playhouse. So, use common sense when "Following" the Guru's because it is more than likely that you will become the customer than he/she helping you gain customers.


The Main ingredient to marketing anything is targeted traffic. Period.
