I used to live in the States for 6ish years, so I'm familiar with Thanksgiving on both sides of the border.
I have really great Thanksgiving memories, particularly my ex-boyfriend's family cooking little vegetarian meals for me as I was unable to partake in the turkey goodness. One year, it was the best spinach lasagna EVER! yum!
Since my return to Canada, I cooked a little dinner for my roommate and I last year. This year, I got together with some friends and we had a potluck with a large number of people - low tables, seated on the floor on little pillows - it was a little hippie gathering.
But the food was phenomenal! I was in a food coma for hours after that.
Can't wait for Halloween!! Actually, I think I'll ask everyone on 5star what their ideas are for halloween costumes this year, or whether they'd like to suggest something for me as I'm rather clueless this year!
