I would maybe add a light background color just to add some slight depth to your site. this will also help to seperate your left navigation from the content area.
For the top banner, (deep red with images of chocolates) i would add some decriptive or selling text as at the minute the banner is very bland and is not adding much to your site.
The site load time seemed a bit slow. This could be down to my internet as it is very inconsistent with its speed, however you can get an accurate report from this website
SiteReportCard: Web Site Optimization and Promotion Tools - this will give you an accurate reading of your download times, meta links, search engine inclusion etc - a very good resource.
