Pr Has no direct effect on traffic. And since you are talking about the dampening factor, could you explain it in full and how you actualy calculate the dampening factor?

You can have a PR 4 website for new orleans real estate and have only 200 links, where for dallas real estate you will need 3k links for PR 4. so, unless you fully understand the dampening factor and how it is calculated, i would not be giving someone(especialy beginners who are learning in this forum) a base formula without explaining it.

there are many factors that effect this, including the title(major factor).

Now, the pr 4 new orleans site will recieve a lot less traffic than the PR 4 dallas real estate site with top positions. so it is not correct to relate PR to traffic. they are completely different animals.

A PR 4 site in weight loss may get 20 times the traffic of the dallas real estate site.

"Now The Most Important thing i.e Your Page Rank
The Page Rank Of A Website depends solely on your inbound links. The PageRank of a website is calculated with the help of the following equation:

PR(A)=(1-d)+(PR OF LINK PAGE 1*D/NO OF LINKS IN PAGE1)+ (PR OF LINK PAGE 2*D/NO OF LINKS IN PAGE2)+.....+(PR OF LINK PAGE P*D/NO OF LINKS IN PAGE P).

Where A,is your website
D is a damping factor =0.85
link page 1,2...,P are the pages that has a link pointing to your website and can be found out by conducting a search on google with link:www.website.com."
