genuwine4532, I don't know how clear this will be but I will try to make it clear.

The gravity of a product is always changing. The gravity goes up when more unique affiliates have made money by selling it. Older sales are not worth nearly as much as newer sales in the gravity calculation. No sales older than eight weeks are used in the determination of gravity.

If a product is high in popularity but has a low gravity, then there are not many affiliates responsible for the sales. It could be one, or a very few super affiliates are doing almost all of the selling.
