Article Marketing Made Easy
Article Marketing is another free, if extremely time consuming, method of bringing free traffic to your website
There are lots of people that will tell you that article marketing is a very effective method of advertising your website through "info marketing" i.e. posting useful information and then hoping that someone will click on the link in your bio box
However in my experience article marketing in nowhere near as effective as it used to be - at least not on the article directory websites
This is for one very good reason
You see what people used to do is to create adsense websites, where they thought they could earn alot of money just by getting people to click on the google ads on their website
To do this they went to the article websites, downloaded as many articles as they could find on their theme, and then incorporated the content onto their website
But then google got wise to what was happening - thousands and thousands of duplicate websites were springing up all over the place, all with the same articles plastered all over. Some people even sold packages of 100 websites ready made as "adsense websites" - so you can imagine how many times the same articles appeared on different websites
So google starting banning duplicate websites from their database - and the same thing goes with articles. People found the websites disappearing from the index and their traffic disappeared with it
Not to be undone the adsense website owners knew that they had to make their content appear unique, even if it was the same article as on other sites. This meant changing the article in some way or adding in RSS feeds in the middle of article text etc. But many of the article websites don't allow you to change the articles in any way - so that was duplicated articles up in smoke!
The adsense website owners found a new trick - don't bother with copyright protected articles - intead use PLR article content, which can be freely changed, editied, added to etc without any problem. So many of the successful adsense websites now ignore articles on the article websites alltogether, and instead use PLR articles which they can change anyway they choose. In fact if you are thinking of having an adsense type website for the google revenue, then its a really good idea to shun completely the article directories for your content and instead use 100% PLR material
Now you might think that thousands of people taking your articles and putting them onto their website, will work for you, but I would say think again. Most of the instances of those articles will be either banned for being duplicates or listed so low in the index that no one will ever see them. Thats not to say that some people wont use your content on their websites, they will, but its a question of what going to be the most effective
What I would suggest is to take the article writing side of your marketing strategy to a different level. You will find you will get many more reads of your articles if you put them onto your social networking site as a blog post - and best of all why not do video articles instead of posting your material onto article directories. In other words take a keyword phrase and then create a short video on where you talk about or have moving content on that theme. You videos will work alot better than any article sites, and you can have more visible advertising such as your website address etc displaying as the video runs - there is no more effective method than this
