Well if you have a website you want to bring more foot traffic to this is a FREE and midweight one-way link back to your site. One way links are gold in online marketing and the higher the PR value of the one-way link coming into your site the more weight Google will give your site in their search engine. It's all about algorithms. LOL!
As an experiment I submitted my MySpace link to
http://www.submitnet.net, a website submission service I use for testing from time to time. This submission service is good and no doubt helped out in getting my profile page listed in many of the search engines fast but the quickest way to get your MySpace page indexed by the search engines is via your blog.

http://www.pingoat.com every time you make a post in your blog. Grab your blog URL and your RSS URL (located in the top right corner of your blog) and PING those directories.

Yahoo! and you'll see my MySpace profile comes up on the first page out of 37,000,000 (Google) and 8,150,000 (Yahoo!) results. My regular web page
