Forum Upgrade - Possible Downtime Saturday

Just wanted to give everyone a head's up. We are upgrading the forum software tomorrow afternoon.

There could be some brief downtime.
There could be some design weirdness.
Some of the features you are used to could change slightly.
I don't expect there to be major changes you should notice much at all though.

We are of course doing this in our continual efforts to make the forum better.
So please pardon our dust tomorrow. By tomorrow night we should be finished with the upgrade.

I didn't know the upgrade was going to reset some member passwords and send an alarming email.

However if you got the email it is because your password was the same as your user name and that's very un-secure and makes it easy for anyone to hack in and use your account.

Here is the email that was sent out, just in case you thought it was a phishing email or something.

A vulnerability has been found with your password at 5 Star Affiliate Marketing Forums. Some passwords are vulnerable to exploitation which may allow a third party to hijack your account.

This may lead to your account being used without your knowledge or permission, and actions being performed under your name.

Vulnerable accounts can also be bad for the board as a whole as they may enable access for automated tools to spam both the forums and other user accounts, using your username.

As such we have had to reset your password.
You can find your new login details below.

Username: your name
Password: gives you a new password
