Hey Linda and Lisa, and all those who voted for my entry in the SBI contest!

It's been several months since I won the contest, and I've finally got my new SBI site up and running! Although it's still a "work in progress", I think I've got a good start going and am really impressed with all the free tools and information available to me with my SBI account.

When I won this great prize, I vowed to do my new site the "SBI way", forgetting everything I've learned about internet marketing, building websites, and affiliate marketing. I also vowed to use the SBI Site Build It tools and not create my own HTML web pages. Since I once strongly considered SBI for web hosting over a year ago, but chose to go with a "cheap" option instead (and got burned), I wanted to prove (or disprove) to myself and others that going with SBI is a good choice for web marketing beginners.

I have spent many hours reading the SBI informational materials, watching the videos and learning their tools, and have been pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to develop a website with Site Build It.

I'm really impressed with all of the research tools available to me with my SBI account, from the Brainstorming and Keyword Research tools to the web page building tools that include free SEO analysis and helpful hints! There are also a lot of great site templates available, so I didn't have to design my own graphics.

My new site, Car Shopping Online is something new and different for me. As a professional "geek", my other sites revolve around technological topics like computer security and internet telephony. Because I don't want to put all my eggs in the same basket, I decided to "step out of the box" with this site and do something different. I am journaling my progress with this site on a blog called My SBI Experience .

So far, I'm really pleased with my SBI package. I'm learning a lot about internet marketing and can definately recommend Site Build It to people who want to start an internet business. Although I'm not even listed with the major search engines yet, I know that SBI sites tend to rank well and feel that I will do so also.
