We are giving away $400 in CASH prizes!

The 5 Star Affiliate Marketing Forums were developed due to popular demand by our blog readers and affiliates from other forums we mod. They all want a positive and productive place to learn, grow, discuss the important issues and support each other. That's what this forum is all about! Positive solutions and respect for other members is the key to success at the 5 Star Forums. Hope you all will come to contribute, hang out and enjoy the ambiance!

This is YOUR forum and growing this forum will take a "team effort!" So I want to share with you my short term goal for the forum and if we meet it, some of you can win some cash. By Sept 5th, that's 2 months away, I want us to have at least 150 members and at least 200 posts - not counting my own. So if we REACH THE TEAM GOAL, I will be giving away $100 cash by Paypal to one person from each category below. That's $400 in cash prizes for showing up, participating and referring others!

CONTEST DETAILS

Date - Now through Sept 5th (Labor Day) So we have 2 months. Come on we can do it!

Qualifying Event - We must meet the team goal above for any of the prizes to be awarded

Who Can Win? Affiliates Only! Merchants & service providers are encouraged to post but can't win.
If you are a merchant, AM or service provider, then you get free advertising in sig, but can't win a prize.

$100 Prize - Top referrer - Must refer 10 affiliate members that make at least one post to qualify. Most referrals by 9/5 wins. (Tell friends they must mention your name in designated field in the registration.)

$100 Prize - Best Post - Most content rich, valuable info in a post. This will be by nomination and vote.

$100 Prize - Most Valuable Poster - Winner will be awarded title MVP. I get to pick this one & my decision will be based on greatest number of posts & overall positive contribution to the community.

$100 Prize - The Secret Number Post - I have already picked a number. Whoever posts that number will win. (Exclusions - 1 liners, spam posts, my post and merchant or AM posts can't win. If one of these is the lucky post #, the prize will be awarded to the next post that qualifies.)

FYI, as of today, July 4th we have 17 members and 46 posts, but 95% are mine. I have barely had a chance to tell anyone about the forum yet, so it's just starting to get active. I just started doing PPC and other advertising, however I'm really counting on you to help me build this forum into the great community I know it can be!

So good to see you here! Glad you joined us. Nice to start seeing so many familiar faces.

I can change the post frequency number. I set it high due to forum Spam bots that hit another forum I mod and created TONS of spam posts over night. I'll go change it now so you don't have to wait so long in between posts!

A few of you in particular you know who you are) have worked especially hard to help me build this forum. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

I have to admit when I started this forum and said "By Sept 5th, I want us to have at least 150 members and at least 200 posts - not counting my own" I was TOTALLY pulling numbers out of a hat. I didn't know how fast we could build this forum - there are lots of other great forums out there.

But you need to set a goal right? So that was the goal I set and I based this contest around it. Well I'm happy to report we only need 21 more posts and 42 more members for us to reach that goal. We only have about 25 days to go, so need less than 2 new members a day. We just had 3 new members join just this morning.

So it looks to me like we will make it, but we need to keep up the effort. Remember this is YOUR forum! It belongs to the "active" members that will help to shape it. Make your voice heard, talk about what's important to you and tell your friends to come and visit. (Remember the top referrer is one of the prizes!)

Hi everyone.

I've just completed the registration process and this really does look like a great site - a growing site!

Well, that's all I wanted to say and hopefully I will be posting more (and refferring others) when I can think of anything else to say!


PS. Love the idea of rewarding people to become members, post and reffer others. I might just do that to get some members to mine!

I will work on compiling the winners on the 5th - Labor Day. Then make the announcement and pay the winners on the 6th. One of the prizes is for most valuable post - which will be decided on by a member poll, so start trying to figure out what posts you want to nominate.

Stephen made tons of great posts, including many long content-rich posts with lots of great info to help our members. Additionally, he has volunteered tirelessly to be a 5 Star mod, without pay. Stephen, this $100 prize can’t even begin to pay you for the value and dedication you have given. I sooooo appreciate you!

The Rules say “Must refer 10 affiliate members that make at least one post to qualify.” According to the forum stats there was only 1 referral. However, I have seen a link to the 5 Star forum in many of Stephanie’s sigs at other forums. I am positive she has helped grow our forum membership and traffic and some people just may not have mentioned her as a referrer. She is also our top poster, which wasn’t a prize but in hindsight should have been. I’m happy to award Steph the $100 prize, regardless of what my stats say. My belief is that “what goes around, comes around!” You earned this!

Sorry, but I thought there was a way to see post numbers when I 1st created the forum and this contest. Could have sworn I saw it, but must have been dreaming. So am changing this one to award the 3rd top poster to spread the $ around. (The above winners actually had the most number of posts, but they already won a prize.) The 3rd top poster was my2cents.
