Default Just a quick question...

I'm new here and I noticed there were some fairly strict rules. I'm just wondering where I would post info about an affiliate program if I came accross one that I thought could benefit the community to hear about? Or is there even an area here where that is discussed?

We have these rules because not everyone wants to do the right thing.

The important thing to remember if you come across and affiliate program that you feel would benefit the community is to make certain that it isn't your affiliate program, one you work for or one in which you have some direct connection.

Often when people "come across" something it is their own or something they are directly associated with.

It might not be fair to everyone, but to be honest, most members are a little suspicious of new members when they "come across" something because so often they didn't just "come across" it, but rather are trying to bring attention to something of their own. That is against the rules since that would be self promotion.

I am not saying this is what you would plan to do. I am just saying what does happen at times and what a lot of people think at times. That is why we have some rules that might be strict in some areas.

So, if you do find or know of an affiliate program in which you have no immediate connection you may post about it in the General Topics Affiliate Forum. You could tell people that you like it and ask if any have tried it or get their opinions based upon taking a look at it.

You should make sure that it isn't an affiliate program that is against our rules adult, gambling, online pharmacy etc.
