This is hard for me to believe, there must be one of two problems if this is actually happening. If you friend is getting that kind of traffic to their site and not making and money from it, then the traffic they are getting must not be interested in what they have to offer.

I mean you can not have a site selling meat and only get traffic from Vegetarians, I mean no one is going to buy anything they don,t plan on using or need. So I would question exactly what type of traffic is being generated and to what product or service.

If this is not the case then I have to say the site is not optimized for converting and or the product or service is very week. I mean if you have targeted traffic of 18000+ in that short period of time and don't convert one there is a serious problem with the site of the product itself. Just a few thought.
