In adwords, and other ppc programs, your display url must match the destination URL. So if your website is called best-widgets-for-sale.com that has to be the final destination of your visitor upon clicking on the ad.

Simply forwarding your domain to an affiliate link "can" work. The domain needs to be established - meaning indexed with backlinks that get incoming traffic from the SEs. But over time the SEs will end up de-indexing the domain and/or start dropping it in the SERPs - Or, your domain has to be a type-in domain - no hyphens and must be a dot com.

No shortcuts anymore in affiliate marketing, those days are long gone. Knuckle down and build out your site with content about the program(s) you are marketing.

Best to you...
