I find article directories convenient because you don't have to pay for them, so I'd most probably ditch those paid article submission sites. If you want to succeed in article marketing, write unique articles with interesting contents.

I actually stumbled on articleinternet dot com recently. It looks like another article directory but instead of just another submission site, they offer free article distribution as well.
