Default Free affiliate software

Hi,
Recently I try to build a affiliate network for my sell website. I don't want to spend any money for it and i am searching for a free affiliate manager software. I found a (poor i'd say) program which is the "TigerTom affiliate manager software or TTAPS.

Have you anyone of you tried to work with this program?
Is this program good enough for a small network?
Have you tried another free affiliate manager software?

No there is not any good affiliate network software that's free.

As I've said many times on other forums, I would not start an affiliate network
if someone GAVE me the top of the line software AND a million $$.

Are you sure you want to start a NETWORK???
There are a myriad to problems associated with starting a network.
One problem is all the competition and the amount of marketing it would
take to set yourself apart.

Some networks have given away CARS to generate buzz and to get affiliates.
So even IF you could find free software, how would you get new affiliates?

Could you possibly mean you just want to start your own affiliate program
and are looking for free tracking software, not network software?

ASR Guy has a good review site for affiliate software used for affiliate programs. affiliate-software-review.com

You should read Linda's stickies on the topic of what good affiliate programs should have.

That should get you started.

I thought about trying free software at my last job, realized that would have been a horrible mistake. I only use pay services now.

Oh if it's for just starting your own affiliate program then
take Bobbie and bfree's advice.

Affiliates may not trust some freebie tracking program that does not
have a reputation built up. So if you go free - well you'll probably get what you paid for it.
A big FAT 0!

Sorry, but unless you are willing to put some money in
and do it right - why should affiliates even trust you to pay them???

If merchants that were not willing to do it right - would just skip the
whole affiliate thing, our industry would be a much better place IMHO!

I agree with the posts above, if you don't have enough to start a network, or the drive to do so I suggest you do not start.

Capital and dedication to customers is key I belive, be sure you are willing and able to spend alot of time making sure your customers are happy.

Anyways, I use software called RevU, which I find is great. DirectTrack is another great piece of software used.

Default Free is a waste of time

I recently blogged about free affiliate software. Was a bit of a rant and there's probably more reasons why free is not worth it.

If you can't afford a tracking system, then you're probably just not ready for an affiliate programme in general.

So go back to getting more traffic and conversions, and put this purchase off until you are ready.

Cheers,
Peter
