overstock vs amazon: which do you recommend?

hope this is the right forum for this type of post, apologies if not

i've been reading a lot about overstock's affiliate program. from what i can gather, there were many positive reviews a few years back, but most of the recent reviews have been less than stellar. has anyone had any experience with overstock? are they good? any particular pros/cons affiliates should bear in mind? and with respect to amazon, how do they compare? i like amazon's enormous breadth of products, but i dislike their tracking method and prefer simple, long-lasting cookies.

Not only is this the right forum for this question - but it's the type of question I love to have people discuss here.

As an industry observer I tend to agree with what you say, but I'm not an affiliate so can't say for certain. It seems to me also that they must both be SO competitive and over saturated - especially Amazon.

Any affiliates that can weigh-in with some opinions?
