Just in case you missed the email, Amazon will no longer pay affiliates that send traffic direct from PPC to Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, or Endless.com. This new TOS change goes into affect May 1st.
If you've ever noticed how many Adwords Amazon ads there are for almost every product under the sun, you know that lots of affiliates will be affected by this change. However according to the FAQ you can still use PPC as long as you send the traffic first, to your own site or landing page that contains Amazon ads.
Also note if you are using Amazon Associates Web Service or datafeed - "Your access to the Amazon Associates Web Service or our data feed will be terminated unless you notify us prior to May 1, 2009 that you will use our content for purposes permitted under the Amazon Web Services Customer Agreement." This is per the
FAQ here.
