Hi James,

Shopster has just announced that they are waiving the minimum sales for beta testers. The minimum sales requirements were small, but it was a point of principal. It's good to see Shopster honoring their original commitment and now if we can get the warehouse pricing/shipping rates lowered, the program will be showing great promise again.

I'll post some more soon guys...It'd be great to hear from the successful retailers...I'm pretty sure a few of them frequent this board!!!
glad to see this is being addressed as the current shipping prices are just embarrassing. i've temporarily stopped marketing my store until shipping prices come down, wish i had something more interesting/positive to report.

Hi Jened,

Shipping is currently calculated anywhere in the US using the same shipping rate as buy.com. It is done by weight. Because we have over 700,000 products for you to offer, we don't go through each one individually and calculate a special shipping amount. It's currently all based on weight and exactly the same as buy.com published rates.

Here's a note about shiopping time...

The average shipping time for standard shipping is as follows: Standard - Average 6 to 9 business days from ship date for domestic, 9 to 12 business days for international.

The average shipping time for expedited shipping is as follows: Expedited - Average 2 to 7 business days from ship date. (Available only on domestic purchases.)

We utilize UPS for most deliveries, and will on occasion utilize FedEx, USPS, Canada Post or DHL depending on circumstance.

Sorry, are they still in Beta phase or have I long missed the boat? Will be great if I can still sign up for free. Thanks

Hi Rascal,

I'm afraid beta is now over and you'll have to pay for Shopster to use the system. Please check out this page to learn about the prices etc: www.amwso.com/shopster.php.

N.B. You can trial the system for 7 days - for free - credit card required though. You can get the URL for the 7 day free trial from the page above.

CC Linda: Thanks for the message. Appreciate it!

Hope this helps.

Hi Linda and James, thanks for your replies. It's a real shame to have missed out on such a good offer. It's no surprise though, considering when the thread was started. Thanks again.

Hi James,
I've no doubt it is worth paying for. But wouldn't it be even better to get something worth paying for for free? Hope I don't sound like a cheapskate here as my primary concern is not all about the startup cost.
I just feel that by paying for it now that there are people operating the same system without costs, it already put me in a disadvantage when it comes to pricing.

However, I'm still very keen in it and is now giving good thoughts as to whether I should go for this or SBI!. They're both very different and I have no idea which is better suited for me. Anyway I'm taking my time as I'm a complete newbie to all this and need to save up whichever one I go for.

Cheers.
