The reason so many are using article marketing is because it works. I'm interested in your experiences with article marketing.
Do you have any tips or strategies you would like to share that have made article marketing work well for you?

short answer yes, but I'll say no. the time i put into writing articles doesn't compare to the amount of traffic i get for them. I've change to writing articles for informational purposes only now.
I have to agree that the time put in doesn't seem to pay off in any huge burst of traffic. But I have seen other people's articles that were very timely do well in search engines.
I think the point of articles may be to generate links back to your site from other places where your articles get posted. So it's more of a long term thing. It is a lot of work though.
And again, unless through luck or genuis you time something very well, it doesn't seem to be a magic bullet.

Actually thats a good point, the direct traffic, is almost nothing, but as i said i still do write artciles, becasue there are some many non-direct alternatives that articels give you.
1.credibility, if you write articles then your educated on the subject.
2.a gateway for a lot of traffic. If you can write a controversal article on any sunject, and then get the article passed around you can get a lot of links and a lot of traffic. i konw one article with the head line "mothers are worth $132000" a year got enormus traffic within just a few days.
actaully heres a link for writing "link baiting" articles which encourage people to link to you.
It disturbs me how much time i wasted by NOT having my articles published every week. Since i have started writing, my placements in the search engines have been outstanding for the keywords i use and my visits are way up. I should have been doing this all along. I have also learned that i like writing and even started a blog(something i thought i would never do).
I think the point you guys and gals make is that you have to keep it up. And also, like everything else, skill matters.
I think the first time I submitted an article (Get it - 1 article) I wasn't excited about the results. Since then I have read up on good places to submit, tips to make your title and copy more attractive, and my results have been better. Sometimes results have been fantastic, and sometimes they have not been all that exciting.
I have submitted some articles, and then gotten google searches on them THE NEXT DAY, and I have submitted some articles and barely noticed a blip.
If I was going to tell a new person to start article marketing, I would tell them to learn a little about writing copy, researching hot topics, places to submit, the point of writing articles...etc. And also, 10 articles are better than one article.
Just like everything else, success takes some work and skill. It all takes time.

- articles marketing work and they drive quality traffic and the most important get backlinks which will can be your online sources to get free traffic from search engines. furthermore, make credibility.
The best way is to select articles directories:
- High page rank
- try to add your articles in the same articles direcotries to get your profile with high page rank (visit top authors)
- select articles directories that use your article title as the url and the title of the web page where they will add your articles (at this moment you can optimize your article title with your most important keywords)
- resources box: is where you will ask your readers to take action, your job is to drive these readers to your web site not let them navigate the article directory. Quality content then resources box optimized with keywords for search engine purpose and ask your readers to go to your web site.
- this take time but will help you to build your online foundation and this for people they plan to a long term online business (long term = 6-12 months depending to your writing articles capacity).
Write 10 articles and submit them to one directory and wait a week and I think you would be pleasantly surprised. Search engines love this and will rank you high.
Also there is time involved but that is just the beginning. You use this form of advertising along with other traffic sources your use and then hire someone to write and submit articles to directories on a weekly basis.
