ENQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW!!!

Every year we do "trunk or treat" at my daughter's church. We have dinner, then the kids trick or treat from car to car in the parking lot. People back in their pickups and decorate them all spooky. So it's fun, but really safe for the kids.

This year my granddaughter wanted to be a DR. Today I went to her Halloween party at pre-school. Here's my little Doctor in her scrubs!

She's adorable! And a refreshing idea for a little girl's costume admist what was surely a sea of princesses

We're having our annual costume contest today at lunch, so far a few cool costumes have appeared around our office, I'm going as a light socket.

Where I live we don't really celebrate halloween, even though to my great surprise 2 kids just came by trick or treating, and I had to search all over the house for some candy to avoid being shot by the 2 kids pointing their guns at me

Believe it or not that was totally HER idea, not Grandma's. (Although, of course, Grandma got her the adorable costume!)

We’ve been asking her for 2 months what she wanted to be for Halloween and we've even thrown out ideas we thought were cute. The answer always came back - NO! I want to be a Doctor!!!

It's really cool because the poor kid has had lots of major health challenges and has been poked prodded and stuck in scary MRI machines way too many times. So we've always given her lots of Dr kits and played Dr with her to try to help it not be so scary. So we are thrilled with her decision to play DOC and think it’s a really positive thing!

We call it guysing here in Scotland and we carve oor lanterns oot o tumchies
(turnips) cos if im off my mark I can errr... borrow one from the field next to me. Tonight we had a compitition for the best lantern and no I did'nt win!...stupid kids game anyway.The wee mac are dressing up an got friends coming round ( the wee mac's not so wee now)and are having a few drinks. Right now we have a bright moon an whispers of clouds going by very spooky and if I'm very lucky one or two of those spirits might find thier way into my g;***.
Nice piccy great to see the wee ones having fun.....happy halloweeen all.

Ps, Im off to see if I can find one o those witches.
