Default I'm sick of waiting to get paid- There has to be a better way

I'm waiting too long to get paid every month. The check takes forever to get to me in the mail. Why can't we get paid on prepaid cards?
What are other international users doing?

If your business cannot sustain itself for a month or two until you get the check, you are not building a strong business.

I realise there may be cash flow problems at the beginning, but you need to take account of that in your business plan. And it should only be a problem for a few months.

hi Ouch9876,

Sorry thing are tight and wish I had ideas for you. But I don't really
know anything about intl payment options through CJ. I do know
they have lots of affiliates overseas.

Have you put in a support ticket to see if any other options are available or do you know for certain check in the mail is the only option? Don't they offer direct deposit or wires or something?

Default Thanks

Thanks all for your input. My business model aside, I think that CJ should offer better methods of payout for international clients.
The direct deposit would work but I think they covert the money and take a percentage. Any idea how much they charge for the service? I think my bank would charge me too.

I have been using the Payoneer card to get paid from oDesk and I can get paid right away on the card and take the money out of an ATM in my currency. They do charge but the fees are not that bad especially when I get the money so quickly.

I think this would be good for CJ.
What do you guys think?

Unfortunately that is the way of the world regarding fees they all want to take a cut hopefully in the future the cheques will be arrived more frequently for you.

Maybe you can check into something else instead of CJ.com?

Why don't you get a virtual visa debit prepaid card account, with address in the USA? They'll send your checks there which will be credited to your account and you can have access to it thru the arrangments they may have made with your local bank.

Just a suggestion,
Olatunde.

I use CJ and at first (a few years ago) I watched my balance climb over the $50 minimum threshold for payment and wondered why I didn't get a check. I found out by checking my reports that only some of the money had been paid by the merchants, not up to the $50. so I had to wait. It seems that merchants have some time to pay you through CJ. CJ's cut off is around the 15th of the month and I get my $ around the 22nd. This month the balance in my acct with CJ cut down to about 1/3 of the balance letting me know that I was going to receive the other 2/3 and that the 1/3 remaining had not been paid by the merchants yet. Next month I will get the 1/3 and the same thing continues. As far as currency conversion fees, I know that my UK affiliate programs send the $ to me as Pounds and my bank here in the US does charge a fee to convert the deposit.

Hope this was some help
Tom
