Default Advertisers Who Auto Approve

Would appreciate if somebody could tell me which advertisers auto approve all (or most) requests.

Most affiliates I think prefer merchants that DON'T auto approve, so I don't think anyone here would have a list of all the ones that do. There are hundreds of programs on CJ so I doubt anyone happens to know which ones are on auto approval.

Right now though Linda I wished an advertiser I applied to last month on CJ would auto approve affiliate applications.

Because when you have to wait this long you start to wonder if people managing the program have any commitment to their affiliates.

It would be a good thing if CJ could enforce a rule to their advertisers to require them to approve/decline an application in 5 working days.

Understandably there are a lot of applications to go through, but if one advertiser that most likely has a lot more applications to deal with is far more responsive it does indicate to me the advertiser's affiliate account application review managers are not doing their job right.

True Edwin, not approving apps on time is a really bad sign that no one's home.
I'm sure it's really frustrating when you want to get a merchant up and can't because you are stuck on hold.

Putting a program on auto approval can also indicate no ones home and means they let anyone in which means not only more competition, but potential competition from unsavory types that don't play by the rules either.

I thought it to be extremely rude and unprofessional that someone can apply and not know anything. I clicked the appropriate link on CJ to apply to a program. To this day, I do not even know if the request went through.

Does anyone know if a confirmation of receipt should come back to my email after I apply? It's been 4 weeks and zilch !!

Hi Unstunted,

I've never heard of a confirmation email - so you're right, you are just left hanging,
which has to be so frustrating.

Have you tried emailing the merchant to try to wake them up?

Yes it is very frustrating. When a business does this, it makes for a bad first impression - even for big-name, successful companies. After all, I may have to rely on them to pay me some day. Can I expect the same kind of response?

I have to presume either it got lost or they didn't like me/my site. I applied to the most-related advertiser in my niche. I have a real live business with a listed phone number, a business bank account, a blog with decent traffic, a dot com name on a site over 3 years old, my contact info on every page of the blog (so they know I am a legitimate person). I was so let down at being ignored. And left wondering whether to continue to invest my energy.

I really wanted to create another site/blog and build content in order to pursue a different set of advertisers. But boy what a lot of work for nothing.

So disappointed.

I'd email the merchant. I realize you should not have to, but things happen.
They could have messed up and maybe you can get it worked out.

Oh and you don't need to worry about them paying you because CJ is the one that pays you
and the merchant has to pre-pay and have money in their account to go toward commissions.

Linda, you are quick, on the ball with feedback.

Thank you.

Let's hope the advertiser keeps some dollars in their account. :-)
