Default CJ - Delay in reporting?

I will admit, my sites are new and I am new at this stuff.

It seems to me that there is some delay in CJ reporting. Some days I will look at "today" stats, and it will say like 2 clicks or something, but then tomorrow I will look at "Yesterday" and it will say 40 clicks (for example).

Also, I have found that it take 4-5 days for a sale to show up.

Is this normal (from other people's experience)?

Yah it is slow, usually a day or 2 for me, but I know which offers will credit and when they should so that helps.

It really depends. Tracking is SUPPOSED to be real-time but depending on how busy the servers are and other issues there can be delays. Typically I think it's hours though, not 3-5 days.

Some merchants do manually batch upload sales. For instance if they need to verify leads to be sure they are real - they'll batch upload once a week or every few days or whatever. So in those cases sales wont show up real time but in batches.

Thanks for the "food for thought". A lot of my clicks are for leads ... I didn't think about the time that would be required to verify the lead!

Yes, I've noticed this too. I knew I had 2 sales and it took days for them to show up. I wrote to them freaking out about why my sales weren't there. They never got back to me, but the sales did show up days later.

Now I'm not saying all lead programs are batched - most are real-time (pending CJ delays). I think it tells you in the merchant info screen if they batch sales or leads. I don't think many do though. Just letting you know occasionally that can be a reason for delays.

My experience with cj is on real time, so if you have something like this happen, maybe the advertiser is aware of something wrong.
