I have a question for you all,
I've been working with a company that provides internet Ads and I have been introduced to a whole new understanding of the internet that i've never even thought about before.

But when I have to look at things like "Make money EASY AND QUIT YOUR JOB" or "HOW TO BECOME INCREDIBLY RICH IN ONLY 5 MINUTES"

All I can do is roll my eyes. Do you think that internet ads really work? Are people actually clicking on these things? I know I see 1000's of ads every day that I completely ignore or promptly click the X button to leave.
I get that there are SOME people who click on ads, but it can't be THAT much.

So, how are people making all this money??

Hi guys,

When I look at my website's statistics I always see that most visitors don't stay more than 30 seconds in my pages. (AWStats in Bluehost Cpanel).

This is a subject that as an experienced webmaster I never read any info about and I want to know from you PRO webmasters what you think about the subject and how it is at your statistics.

How much time and percentage is considered good, normal & bad?

I'm trying to understand what I'm doing wrong in the last 2-3 years or maybe that is the way it is and I'm not doing anything wrong. Maybe my visitors get to my homepage and once they find what they're looking for they click the link within 30 seconds ant it gets into the statistics.

Or maybe it's how much time it takes them to leave my website...?

Please tell me what you think...

Thanks.
:)

Hello,

I am working on setting up an affiliate site on spirituality and meditation and am looking for some guidance on what I can and cannot do when it comes to referencing content from another author. I plan to create a free report to give to new subscribers that includes content from spiritual teachers such as Eckhart Tolle and Ken Wilber, and I will include their name and a link to their site so the reader can learn more about them. I would be using content from books these author's have published, and likely some content from their websites as well.

Would it be alright to do this so long as I clearly state that the content is not my own, and would I have to reference it in a specific way if I am using content from a published work?

Thanks,

So, I'm a total noob. I consider myself to be fairly technical literate, though certainly not a programmer by trade.

Here's my first question. I'm thinking of signing up for cj.com and am in the process of coming up with a domain name. I'm thinking longer term I'll want to affiliate to several verticals/product types, such that I'll reg a domain name and then spin a bunch of verts off of it.

foo. com
niche1.foo .com
niche2.foo .com
...etc.

Wondering about people's experiences with taking this approach, and how your experiences relate to transacting with cj.com (or others).

Any help much appreciated.

Hi guys,

With all these rules and regulations, both on and off line, we definitely have our work cut out for us, right? Well, in the beginning it may just seem that way. It's all smoke and fog, sure it's a little hard to see but as long as you continue to move forward it will clear.

With all the experience available to us, those days don't have to be so difficult. Get to know your colleagues in the industry, listen to what's worked and working. Then all you have to do is figure how to incorporate yourself into the mix.

Personally, that's the most overlooked thing I've seen regarding the differences between newbies and pro's. The pro's have established themselves, by getting their messages out there. However, these aren't ordinary messages they're displaying. Most of these messages have a little bit of their own personality in each one.

Here's an example I saw recently and I'm positive you've probably seen it too:

The hottest new product in _____ (insert website url here), click here now.

We all know that is an affiliate that's going to struggle mightily. Why not get creative, have fun with the products you're promoting?

Talk to them like you're talking to a mutual friend. What is going to capture their interest? Who are you? If you're marketing anything, you've got to remember people want to see you as a professional.

I was tired of not being able to see my toes. A friend of mine introduced me to ________ and after only a few weeks I am making some leeway. I can actually see my toenails. That's the next thing I'll have to do something about, but that's a whole different story. If you need help finding your feet, drop me a line. I'd love to help you.

Who cares about a hot product? We're bombarded with new hot products everyday. Put yourself in their shoes and you'll discover things will get a whole lot funner from there.

Have fun everyone!

I've been thinking off this Idea for a while but was nervous it could come back to bite me somehow. I figured if I let the users of my site know it can take 6 to 8 weeks for thier rebate to arrive(which by then I'd recieve payment by the affiliate) then it can only help. Hopefully It's an good Idea for others here to convert some sales but if not let me know please.

Most marketers aren’t doing this at all.

I know this as a fact as the majority of my clients and even associates don’t do this.

The most basic list segregation technique is to put those people that have purchased something from you (or followed your recommendation as an affiliate) onto a customer or “buyers” list.

If you aren’t doing that already…stop reading this post and do it right now.

I’ll wait…

You haven’t done it yet, come on, this is a BIG business builder for you…

Whatever, you’ll never do it then.

Moving on…

By separating your buyers into another list…you have a list of the people who obviously trust you enough to pull out their wallet and buy something from you or on your recommendation…and I think that is a BIG trust that we as marketers take for granted all the time.

Come on, you do take that trust for granted…don’t you? You assume that because you have the greatest product on earth, that everyone wants what you’re selling…and nope, that’s not how it works.

Which brings us to the next reason the money isn’t in the list…

2) The money isn’t in the list, it’s in the relationship you form with the people on that list. So before you go thinking that by putting #1 above to work will solve all of your making money problems…

You first have to think really hard about each individual person on your list.

Really hard.

It sounds so simple, yet it’s another area we take for granted as business people…that real people, with real problems and emotions, are on our marketing list.

You don’t “own” them…

You had better not be “renting” them out…

They aren’t “your” list of subscribers/buyers/people over the age of 50…

And they're DEFINITELY are not “one of your list of 5,000″…or a number.

Change your thinking to how you can serve that list of people (for real), and your income will increase in reflection of how well you do that. If your income doesn’t increase, you’re focus hasn’t changed.

No, I didn’t give you the “full” blueprint here…I expect you to think about this and apply it to your business (heaven forbid…do work?).

The sad reality is…90% of you will still go about your busy days and never take any time to sit and ponder the impact this rather “simple” advice can have on your business…

Of the 10% that do something with this advice, only the top third or so of that 10% will actually use this advice and make changes.

So in the end, about 3 out of every 100 readers of this article will actually do something that will have a HUGE impact on their business right now, today.

Will you be one of them?

Some would say… “I’m in the __________ (niche here) business.”
Wrong again.

I would challenge that you’re in the business of serving people.

Your niche is the industry in which you choose to serve people…

Your marketing are the methods and media you choose to use and invite people into your business of serving people.

Simple, short, effective. :D
