Wow I wish I was in that picture right now, that is beautiful. Cost of living is ridiculous in Los Angeles where I live too, so I hear that.

Thanks for sharing I needed to hear that, I know the eventual freedom will be more than worth the price, and most of the time I really enjoy doing this.

I don't want to give false hope.

I don't make as much as a lot of affiliates.

There are two ways to escape the rat race though.

1) Build your affiliate earnings to match your current expenses.

2) Reduce your current expenses to match your affiliate earnings.

Option 2 was how I managed to quit my job (I was a hobby affiliate for a long while before I went full time so I already had some affiliate income). Now I just work on building the income slowly but surely.

Oh I understand, I am being realistic and I know it will take time. I actually just moved to reduce my expenses greatly. So thats part is taken care of.

It's just good to know from a real person that this stuff does work!

Most of my income is from PPC.

I have some from natural search (and I am trying to grow that) but I find the immediate results of PPC far easier. Plus nothing sucks more than spending months SEOing a site to find that your keywords and offer don't convert.
