Question Firefox

What is the big deal about Firefox? People always seem to suggest using Mozilla or Firefox. Years ago I used Mozilla and did not care for it - possibly I'm a creature of habit . Anyhow I was just wondering what's all the hype about?

Thanks!

Pixie

pixie,

Cool you added you pic!

I used to feel the same way and now I won't touch IE unless necessary.

My fav reasons to use FF

1) More secure, not as easy to catch cooties, trojans and malware.

2) TONS of really useful add-ons and plug-ins to make your life easier.

3) Lots of people like the tabs feature. I don't use tabs, but many like it for that.
Initially that was one of the big draws but now IE has tabs too.

hmmm....I'll think about it LOL!!! I run IE through Earthlink and I think that is the only program it is compatible with. I'm comfy with my toolbar at the top that tells me when I have a new email message. But I guess I have to venture into new waters sometime!

Cool

I'm giving it a try, right now I'm still missing my comfort zone but I know I have to give at least two weeks to a months trial to see how I really feel!

OOh pixie, I LOVE Firefox. There are so many reasons. I love that you can just drag and drop the bookmarks especially. it's all so organized and I am so un-organized.

I love firefox because of so many convenient add-on tools. Especially SEO for Firefox, very useful!

Hey Pixie,

Firfox is the way to go! And the new version is in it's final stages of public beta!
If you are trying it make sure you use these add-ons!
Fasterfox - Makes it run faster
AdBlockPlus - Blocks all the annoying adds
The other I like and recommend are
All-In-One-Sidebar - like a easier version of file edit view history tools etc
Web Developer - Great for developing
Fast Video Download - Finally download all those youtube video, google videos and so on!

Hope this helps you out!
