Default How to redirect using html

Hi

I know there are a number of ways to do redirects for affiliate marketing. I saw a video which showed a method using a frameset - I want to try this one out, (tried to type in the whole code here but it went blank when I clicked "Preview Post"). The code itself was easy to understand but I don't know what to do with it.

1) Where does the frameset code go? Do I create a new web page on my site and just type in the relevant frameset codes?
2) What URL would I then use when promoting a product?

Would appreciate any help.
Regards
Genny

Careful redirecting with frames. Many affiliate programs don't allow it.

I think most affiliates use htaccess.

This one talks about htaccess and PHP redirects.

Hi Linda

Thanks. I actually bought a program that cloaks affiliate links & tracks hits etc - it uses .htaccess - this .htaccess is already set up on my site so I am too afraid to fiddle with the file in case I mess things up. The reason I'm reluctant to use the purchased program is because there's been a question mark over it and I don't want to lose commissions because of it.

The PHP article looks interesting - he mentions that it's not always acceptible to merchants either. What do you think of redirects via cPanel?

Regards
Genny

Not sure about PHP or cpanel. Maybe one of the more techy types will weigh in.
