Does Anyone Heard of Lifetime commission?

I was Searching for a good Pay per lead affiliate program and found
Life time commission programs.

Does any one knows anything about it?

What i have found is that they pay you on their first sale and then they keep paying for recurring sales from the customer that you have referred.

What i would like to know is what is the good, bad and ugly of life time commission?

Also there is anyone that knows any good and reliable program that pays lifetime commission?

Many of the membership programs pay every time your customer pays their monthly fee. I think Wealthy Affiliate and Affiliate Classroom both do for instance. (popular affiliate training programs)

In Internet terms, "lifetime" means about 3 months...

No I Was thinking like if we refer a customer and they buy once and we get a referral. The Future sales Can we get a referral fee for life?

I Found Some. However most of them are membership sites. We get a cut on the monthly payment.
