Default Want To know more about landing pages

Can someone please let me know whether subdomains for landing pages are accepted by the search engines and especially by Google?

Sure, don't know why not.

As far as organic search goes, sometimes it can
give you a good ranking advantage.

You could use subdomains, however Google treats subdomains as separate websites and not being part of the main domain.

yourdomain.com
sub.yourdomain.com

are recognized as two different unique URL's by Google.

With that said, creating a landing page for PPC is better off placed in a sub-folder as Adwords Quality Score is favourable to landing pages being part of a website.

Creating a landing page with links to your site's About - Privacy and so on is going to have a far better result in obtaining/maintaining a positive quality score.

If you're starting new then you can surely go with a subdomain and depending on your long term or short term strategy this may be even a better choice.

But remember that even with the subdomain route you need to create the impression the landing page is more then one page alone.

With organic search, if the topics are closely related you may also be better off to use subfolders - as you don't have to work on each subdomain to get better results in the SERP's.

Remember that each subdomain is a unique URL and when you use a main domain and subfolders all the strength and reputation you build on that main domain you can distribute to a page in a folder getting that page most probably more easier to rank.

It really al depends again on your short or long term strategy in my opinion.
And on the subject of your page in question.

Quite a lot of if's involved with the subdomain versus subfolder decision process.

Without much info to go on from your post you would really need to find out what it exactly is you have planned for your endeavours.
