Default Woman clicks own ads, gets suspended, sues Google

Google makes it very clear that you are not suppose to click on your own AdSense ads.

A woman has clicked on her own AdSense ads. Her AdSense account was suspended by Google and she is now suing Google for $250,000.00.

Theresa B. Bradley is a management consultant who lives in Washington, DC. She accuses Google of several counts of fraud and misrepresentation, including misrepresentation in commercial advertising, and of "willfull, wanton, fraudulent and malicious" conduct regarding AdSense. Her suit also says there is misrepresentation in interstate commerce.

Theresa B. Bradley doesn't claim that she didn't click her own ads. She said she did, but she did it to see if any competing products were being advertised.

As you know, she could have used the preview tool or other methods to do that without clicking on her own ads. But she clicked on the ads and says it is Google's fault that she did and she wants $250,000 for it because they suspended her account.

Bradley says Google caused her irreparable harm by damaging her reputation and the reputation of her products and services.

But there is more. It turns out she has also sued Yahoo. Information on that isn't available at the present time and Yahoo had no comment.

This article has more details on her suit against Google http://oraclewatch.eweek.com/blogs/g.../31/12873.aspx

It is possible to arrive at a few conclusions with the first being that it sounds like an attempt to get some fast and easy money.

Her site is rather small and it is sounds almost like a joke to say that it took 100 hours to place the AdSense code on it.

She said Google caused her irreparable harm by damaging her reputation. She isn't doing a very good job of making herself look good by starting this lawsuit. It makes here look very bad.

It is difficult to see how she would have any chance of winning this suit.

Take a look at the article I linked to in my first post in this thread. Here it is again to make it easy http://oraclewatch.eweek.com/blogs/g.../31/12873.aspx See what you think and then express your thoughts here in this 5 Star thread.

This is from the bizarre and ridiculous files no? Being unfamiliar with the linked site, how much truth is likely to be in that article? If it is true, where on earth did she find a lawyer to prepare a lawsuit based on her own abuse of TOS? Maybe a young lawyer who wants some quick money from his client? Hired him from ebay?
