AdSense Video Units now available

Google now has video content for your site that will allow you to make money. They call it AdSense Video Units.

Your site can have relevant video content in an embedded, customizable player. Just a little code and you'll have YouTube content streamed to your site. You can have it automatically targeted, choose categories to target or select content from individual YouTube partners.

Right now this is only available for United States publishers. You will find it in the AdSense Setup tab as video units.

It is still early for AdSense Video Units and Google will probably improve things as time goes by. But right now the ad targeting is pretty good but the videos aren't as much on-target as they should be.

With the AdSense Video Units there is a 3-way revenue split rather than 2. The video creator, Google as well as the publisher get a share.

The hope of many is that the videos will generate more interest in some visitors and could possibly produce more revenue to be shared.

The AdSense Video Units are presently in 3 sizes. Some publishers feel they are too large and want some smaller sizes added. Google is said to be considering this but hasn't yet said if they will do it.
