Rich Jerk Gets A Smackdown by 63 Year Old Woman

Okay, I think this hilarious myself. I could have posted this under SEO topics, but at this point it's gone into the That's Too Funny category.

You guys know who the Rich Jerk is right? Well, maybe not who he is, but you know of him. In fact, Linda blogged about him not too long ago ...

If you've been following the presentations put out recently by Andy Jenkins and Brad Fallon (two SEO experts with good basic SEO tips for everyone), then you're in the know about the things they've been teaching. At any rate, Brady and Andy have released a few videos teaching some basic SEO, and I guess the Rich Jerk is taking all the credit for their SEO knowledge. And, apparently Rich Jerk is taking credit for Sydney Johnston's SEO rankings as well.

Sydney is the 63 year old woman who signed on with Brady and Andy with regard to her eBay business. I guess when she got wind of the Rich Jerk's comments ... she made her own video.

I think it's pretty funny ... gotta love a good cat fight amoungst the SEOers.

I would love to see that woman on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, except it would probably give the so-called "Rich Jerk" more attention than he deserves. However, it would really be interesting to know more about him as far as the real person behind that name that is used.

Okay, here's a wee update on the smackdown, but it's funny in an ironic-that's-so-true sorta way.

You know how you can have intentions that you think are going to go a ceratin way and then, you act on those intentions ... and of course Murphy's Law steps in to teach you a lesson.

Well, these guys decided to put a slowdown on their project because of all the SEO brawling going on. And you know, that's probably a wise thing to do until dust settles enough to see where you're going.

But where the Murphy's Law entered was when they said they were a little freaked out by all the wild behavior and press the situation got. It wasn't in keeping with their business goals ... so they opted for a slowdown.

What they got was quite the opposite:

Yesterday's email totally BACKFIRED!

Since I sent my "Please, use REASON and LOGIC' email yesterday,
23,961 MORE people have watched the Going Natural Videos brining
the grand total to 332,182. That's 3 times our normal average of

yesterday.

I guess a few 5 Star-ers had a peek at all the hoopla, eh?!! So, what we learned from this is that sometimes all the hoppla can actually bring more attention ... it's what you do with it that counts ... yes?!!

I think that no matter what you do, someone is always going to hate on you when you get really successful because people are jealous and want to break you down. But, taking credit for some elses work? ... That's wrong though I am sure many of us were guilty of it at sometime. however, I am not a fan of misleading people. I tell them what they will get when they get my services, and they take it or leave it. The decision is ultimately their's to decide. I don't feel the need to hype things up. I tell them what it is.
