Every year Shawn Collins compiles survey data from affiliate managers and rolls it into the highly acclaimed
AffStat Report. Shawn just
announced the release of the 08 report, filled with data from almost 200 affiliate managers.
Since I offer free consultations for merchants 2 of the questions I'm often asked are how much OPMs (Outsourced Program Managers) charge or how big a salary is required to attract a good in-house affiliate manager? The Affstat report is the only place to find accurate data. Here's a graph that shows the breakdown for OPM monthly earnings per affiliate program.

Note: The above is for 1 program, many OPMs manage multiple programs.
According the the report the highest percentage salary range for in-house managers was $50,000 - $60,000. However 14% reported incomes over $120,000 and 19% said they earned under $40,000. To find out the rest of the salary breakdowns, you need to just get the report. It's worth it!
The survey also covers a wide variety of useful stats for affiliate managers including number of affiliates, % active, most popular affiliate recruiting methods, commission structures, affiliate networks by % and much more. Plus it offers a guide to affiliate recruiting and resources for affiliate managers with dozens of hotlinks to affiliate marketing message boards, blogs, and newsletters.
