Switching to CPA: Advice

I've got a website on which I've been doing CPM advertising (and some CPC) forever, but the payouts have been crap so I'm going to experiment by switching over to CPA. I'm not big on signing up with networks like CJ or Ad.com or whatever, I prefer to go directly to the affiliate product sites and cut out the middleman. So I was wondering if you guys can recommend some CPA products/sites that tend to convert well and have a good CPA? I've done some research and it seems like the ones that make the most money don't require the site visitor to put in their credit card or fill out a ton of fields in a survey or whatever. Any suggestions/recommendations would be great

Sounds like you are looking for pay per lead type programs as opposed to pay per sale? The good ones depend somewhat on your site content and the markets you want to pursue and have targeted traffic for. That's one thing with CPA thats pretty important is targeted traffic, unless you run very general consumer offers.

Some of the highest paying and converting CPA offers are financial. Mortgage, insurance, etc. 5 Star has NetQuote and ProspectZone that are independent and not on networks.
