How Do I Get An Icon To Appear in Address Field?

I've seen several websites lately that show an icon in the browser address field, appearing just before the url. I've noticed that if I hover over this icon with my mouse (with Firefox, at least) that it is possible to drag this icon to wherever I want, thus saving the bookmark with icon.

I'd like to incorporate this technique into my sites. Can anyone tell me how it's done?
