Clickbank - Not a Good Place for Newbies to Start

lincolnn are you saying "the first 2 days we had the site up, we earned $100 each day"
as a merchant selling a product or as an affiliate promoting someone else's product???
I ask because it appears you are a merchant?

SO, if you are the affiliate, you are marketing someone elses's product. They have the product but don't want the bother of creating a website. Is this right? Or is the main purpose to get their products on a bunch of sites rather thsn trying to bring traffic to their own site? Thanks Jan

Hi Jan,

No the merchant that sells the product always has a web site and is usually also trying to sell themselves. But they can't be everywhere on the net. So having affiliates is like having an outside sales force. The affiliates have their own marketing, their own visitors and maybe a list of 3,000 people that trust the affiliate and buy what he recommends. Then you multiply that times 500 affiliates and all those affiliates combined can get the offer in front of a TON more people than the merchant could all by himself. Make sense?

That was a very understandable explanation abiout the affiliate workings. So I am dabbling with a couple of affiliates now and see this works for them kind of like the MLM's where networking is what makes it all happen. Jan
