newbies question: Which Domain to get to go along with HostGator?

Could you please do some recommendation for domain?

As i do not know much about the domain issues, Anyone that know which company I should get the domain from?

my requirement is the following-

cheap( but stability is the most important), easy to use, go along with HostGator, and if anything happen easy to switch.

It sounds as if you are talking about a registrar.

My personal choice, and the one I always use is GoDaddy. Here is a thread in which some of our members express their choices Your favorite registrar. Do you use a high price one?

Any domain you buy from any registrar, can go with any hosting company.
You can even register the domain through HostGator for convenience.

But if you are in this for the long haul you may eventually have several domains and most feel the best strategy is to keep your domains at a separate registrar.
