Preferred marketing niches and affiliate sites

I've been missing a while but now I'm back on the track :P.
I wanted to as has anyone made a research on what people like (niche) and what do they buy? Can you give me some good affiliate program sites with their own affiliation programs?

Wow, broad topic... people buy a lot of things in thousands of different niches.
It's up to you to focus on one or a few of those and research them.

I would focus on something that you are interested in first. It is easier to put a site together with something you have a passion for.

People buy all kinds of things online. Nowadays, it's perfectly acceptable.

Just remember what people come online to do BEFORE they buy. They come to seek answers, to research products. Think about the kinds of things that you are knowledgeable about and go from there. When you can give answers to your potential customers before they buy, they'll be much more likely to buy from you or to go with your recommendations as an affiliate.
