I stopped by here to try and get a feeling about signing up as a merchant on PepperJam. I have read a lot of well how do I say this not so nice stuff on another affiliate forum site and before I make my descision it would be nice to get some feedback. We will not be exclusive with them as we will still have shareasale but I also don't want to put money out that will not have a return on investment. From the looks of things they have a great interface and some really nice tools for the Affiliates but that doesn't mean much if they don't have any affiliates that will join my program. Any insight or thoughts regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

My personal feeling though is that you are already on one of the most popular networks and as a general rule I don't feel launching on more than one network is a good idea.
1 network and an in-house program to give affiliates a choice - possibly.
2 different networks - no not unless it's a really big brand or program.

I agree with Linda on this. Nothing against PJN, but when I saw you were at SAS, I wondered why you felt the need to expand to PJN. SAS has a great interface and nice tools too. Different perhaps, but still good ones that affiliates like to use.
I'm only one affiliate, but when I have the choice between working with the same merchant on SAS or Pepperjam, I always choose SAS. It's just much easier for me to get coupons, datafeeds, etc. from SAS. I find that the Pepperjam newsletters almost always come without links. I don't know if that is because it is harder to include the links in the newsletters or what. But it definitely impacts the number of links that I put up.

Thanks everyone... I am still struggling in my quest to find some new affiliates. Maybe even that (I don't think they exist) super affiliate.... LOL Yes I know they exist just not yet for me...

They certainly do exist in your sector. The top affiliates in this sector use a webservice to call your site with an ISBN # and return a books details. Much the same as a datafeed but in realtime. These affiliates usually have 100,000+ p/m traffic on their sites. Below that, you should have a comprehensive datafeed for all other affiliates so they can add them to their book shopping portals and blogs/content sites. Your network should advise how to go about getting these affiliates on board one by one.
In regards to multiple networks, there is no problem with having 2 networks if you set up local tracking correctly. You never know when one network will raise their fees, or give poor support or make a policy change that will inadvertently effect your business... or even on rare occasions have tracking issues that leave you in a pickle with no other options to save your traffic/revenue flow.
I've used both networks in the past and I prefer PJ over SAS. I just think there are more quality affiliates at PJ. And, there are super affiliates at PJ.
