AffiliateFuel discontinues pop-unders

I am not a fan of pop-ups or pop-unders but some people are.

Affiliate Fuel has suddenly discontinued pop-unders. Here it is in their own words:

Dear Affiliates,

The Pop-Under feature (which allows you to launch a second page containing a group of offers behind the original offer page that a user clicks) will be discountinued as of today, August 3, 2007.

We apologize for the short notice, and any inconvenience this may have caused.

Do you know why they dis-continued it? Was it not working for them or something?
