Most affiliates need marketing assistance and seek it out every day by searching for strong resources online, according to the results of a new survey of affiliate marketers conducted by PartnerCentric, Inc. A full-service Internet marketing agency that manages more than 30 top affiliate programs, PartnerCentric recently surveyed its affiliate partners about the kinds of online resources they rely on most. The majority of affiliates (51.9%) surveyed said they rely on knowledge bases more than any other kind of online resource when looking for assistance in affiliate marketing. Some of the major affiliate networks such as Commission Junction offer knowledge bases. While not a network, PartnerCentric soon will launch its own knowledge base to assist its affiliate partners. One of the key findings of PartnerCentric's affiliate survey is the level of importance that affiliates place on online resources that provide marketing assistance. When asked how often they use online resources such as forums, blogs and knowledge bases for marketing assistance, 40.7% said they sought such assistance on a daily basis. "By their answers to this survey, our affiliates have underscored the need for reliable, relevant resources that offer marketing assistance," said PartnerCentric President Linda Woods. "It's becoming increasingly important that merchants and affiliate program managers provide such tools as data feeds, coupon codes and special offers and regularly updated creative such as text links and banners." PartnerCentric's Knowledge Base will launch later this summer and will become part of the company's Affiliate Resource Center, which offers affiliates the kind of online resources and marketing support they need to succeed in promoting merchant campaigns.
