Hi Julie,
Here are a few things you might want to look at.
1) page download time. I'm using DSL light and it did take quite a few seconds to download - like, 20 or something, which seemed like an awfully long time. You might want to shrink the file size of your graphics so that it loads quicker. Slow loads can make people click away before they even see what you're offering.
2) keywords. I'm not that familiar with your topic so can't comment on the value of the keywords in your All-in-One
SEO. Do they get many searches (I mean, like hundreds a day or more)?
3) just fantasizing here, but if I were searching for one of your keywords (let's say, scrapbooking room), I would expect to see something about that as soon as I land, but I don't. It's farther down the page. That might be something to look at. What are the most popular keywords that are bringing people to your page? Head up your page with that KW in your headline. Or find some way to summarize all that you offer in a generic headline that spells out what you offer using your keywords. Something like:
"Looking for scrapbooking organizers, frames and other useful items for your favorite hobby? You're in the right place."
4) Your site title is "scrapbooking furniture" but you open with a digital frame. If I were looking for furniture, I would expect to find furniture - like special desks, laptop platforms, ergonomic seats, storage cupboards and the like. Perhaps your visitors will be more inclined to look around if you had furniture-type products at the top of the landing page. Related scrapbooking products can be categorized separately (frames, organizers, display packaging, etc.). Or you could always change the title.
5) I'd shrink the physical size of your top banner graphic as it takes up almost the whole first screen when people land. Better would be a graphic that stands perhaps around 1 inch high so that your visitors see content quickly, rather than having to scroll past that banner.
6) I realize you're using a merchant feed (?) but you could grab the reader's eye much quicker if the image was on the left and the description was on the right. It takes a few seconds to figure out what that first graphic is - the digital frame. Some merchants can provide you with a different feed if the one they provide is not compatible with your site. It's worth asking.
7) Feeds can make for easy site management, but originality might work better. It depends on your market. If the visitor expects to see a store, then perhaps that's the right approach. This is something you'll have to investigate.
Gee, I hope I haven't scared you.
Just suggestions, mind you.
Sylvia
