I think what he's saying is to comment on food related blogs. He's saying subscribe to a bunch of them that may cover things related to your blog. Then scan the posts to look for stories related to anything you've posted about. Then comment on them. This will leave a link to your blog in their blog comments. Which either their visitors may follow (and give you traffic) or spiders can follow (to give you backlinks, if it's a do follow blog).

Ah, that I understand. I already post on certain food forums, but never considered doing RSS feeds to alert me to when there might be an applicable post on another blog! A good idea for sure. Thank you both!
